Okay everyone! I'm really looking for your feedback here. I want to know what your favorite movies of 2009 are. This year has been an interesting year for movies. I think that since movies have been around so long, there's a lot of ideas that have already been done. As far as horror flicks, we are becoming more desensitized and horror movies just keep getting more graphic and disgusting. Technology keeps getting more and more advanced, the movies that are made today are tough to top.
My favorite movies of 2009
#1. Taken
#2. The Hangover
#3. The Proposal
#4. Law Abiding Citizen
#5. The Ugly Truth
Okay, now that I've showed you mine, time to show me yours! hehe! (FAVORITE MOVIES THAT IS!)

I'm a top shelf whore for the movies, so it was really hard to only limit myself to 5. So I did 10! So the top 10 are the movies that most enterained, thrilled and moved me all year. Plus I had to throw in some extra movies that it would be a crime to not be mentioned!
ReplyDelete1) Up
2) Watchmen
3) Inglourious Basterds
4) Star Trek
5) Avatar
6) The Hangover
7) Paranormal Activity
8) District 9

10)Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Honorable mentions (in no particular order)
Zombieland
Observe & Report
Bruno (only for the shock value and LOL moments)
Fanboys
The Road
Monsters vs. Aliens
Thirst

Hello Beretta!
ReplyDeleteI truly LOVE that you call yourself a top shelf movie whore! That is SO hot! And great taste in movies btw! Thanks so much for your feedback! :)
Michael,
Might I say that you have great taste in movies as well. I'm so pleased that you took the time to give me your feedback. Best wishes to you too!
:)
1. Avatar, 2. District 9, 3. No. 9, 4. Up, 5. The Haunting in Connecticut, 6. Drag Me to Hell, 7. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, 8. The Hangover, 9. New Moon, 10. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and... 11. Planet 51. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe only truly great movie that I saw this year was "Star Trek". As someone who's been a fan of that franchise for nearly two decades now, it was incredible to see it relaunched with such an amazing film. The only other film in the series that beats it is "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan", which came out all the way back in 1982.
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the movies that I got around to seeing from this year were either just "ok", or downright terrible.
Kevin,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking the time to give me your feedback. I haven't seen the Star Trek movies, I will have to be sure to check them out sometime. :)

No problem, Krystle. Movies are pretty much my life (some would say "drop the 'pretty much'" from that). ;-)
ReplyDeleteWord of warning... If you do decide to check out the Star Trek movies, I would recommend skipping "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier", "Star Trek: Insurrection", and "Star Trek Nemesis", which are generally considered to be the worst films in the series.
